Lighthouse Health & Wellness, PBC (“Lighthouse,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates www.lighthousehw.org and related mobile applications and platform services (collectively, the “Service”). This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, store, and protect information in connection with the Service, and explains the rights available to users and agency partners regarding their data.

The Service is designed for public safety agencies and their personnel, including law enforcement, fire, EMS, corrections, and dispatch professionals. We interact with three categories of individuals:

Agency Administrators When an agency establishes a relationship with Lighthouse, we collect identifying and contact information for the administrator(s) responsible for managing the account. This includes name, title, agency affiliation, email address, and phone number.
Individual Users For users who create accounts or access features requiring authentication, we may collect name, email address, agency affiliation, and account credentials. Users who engage with wellness tools or self-assessment features may provide additional information as part of those experiences, such as responses to wellness surveys or check-ins.
Wearable and Biometric Device Data Users who voluntarily connect a compatible wearable device or health application to the Service authorize the transfer of data from that device to their Lighthouse account. This data may include activity metrics, sleep data, heart rate, and other health indicators provided by the connected device. Connection of any third-party device is entirely voluntary. We do not collect biometric data without explicit user action to connect a device.
General Visitors For users of our public resource library and website who do not create accounts, we do not collect personally identifiable information. We collect only aggregated, non-identifiable usage data such as page view counts at the agency level. This aggregate data may be shared with the respective agency upon request to support resource planning and content development.
Log Data When you access the Service, our servers automatically record standard technical information including IP address, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps. Server logs are purged within 30 days. We do not link IP addresses to personally identifiable information.
Cookies We use cookies to maintain authenticated sessions and improve the Service experience. You may configure your browser to decline cookies, though some features may not function properly without them. We do not use third-party advertising or analytics tracking cookies on the Lighthouse Resource Library.

5. Agency-Deployed Applications
Agencies that deploy a customized application through the Lighthouse platform control the features and content made available to their personnel. The default Lighthouse application adheres to the data practices described in this policy. Agencies that enable additional features — such as user authentication, intake forms, or third-party content — may collect additional information governed by their own policies. Questions about data practices within a specific agency’s deployment should be directed to that agency.
6. Third-Party Service Providers
We may engage third-party vendors to support the operation of the Service, including hosting, infrastructure, and technical support. These vendors are authorized to access personal information only as necessary to perform services on our behalf and are contractually prohibited from using it for any other purpose.
When users connect third-party wearable devices or health applications, data is exchanged in accordance with the permissions granted by the user and the privacy policies of the respective third-party platform. Lighthouse is not responsible for the data practices of third-party platforms.
7. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as an account is active or as necessary to provide the Service. Agency administrators may request deletion of their account information by contacting us at support@lighthousehw.org. Upon termination of an agency’s relationship with Lighthouse, we will handle data in accordance with the terms of the applicable service agreement.

We implement commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, or misuse. No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. We encourage users to protect their account credentials and to contact us promptly if they suspect unauthorized access.
9. Children’s Privacy
The Service is not directed to individuals under the age of 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If we become aware that a minor has provided personal information, we will delete it promptly. If you believe a minor has submitted information through the Service, please contact us at support@lighthousehw.org.
10. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of personal information we hold about you. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@lighthousehw.org. We will respond to verified requests in accordance with applicable law.
11. Links to Third-Party Sites
The Service may contain links to external websites not operated by Lighthouse. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites and encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing any information.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will make reasonable efforts to notify agency administrators directly. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
