“The ICISF model, known broadly as Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM), is the most comprehensive response to help people cope with the stress caused by critical incidents such as disasters of uncertainty. This is a peer support model, guided by mental health professionals, using techniques created by world renowned experts.” – Richard Barton, ICISF Chief Executive Officer
ICISF offers a variety of CISM courses through our Remote Learning Programs, including Core Courses, which provide the core elements of a comprehensive, systematic and multi-component crisis intervention; Advanced Core Courses, which build on your CISM knowledge from the Core Courses; and Specialty Courses, which provide CISM tools and resources specific to your profession, organization or area of interest.
